What is MeepleThèque?
MeepleThèque is an iOS app that does two things: it organises your board game collection and logs your plays. It is built so that recording a game takes under fifteen seconds, at the table, without interrupting the evening. It works offline and syncs as soon as the connection is back. It is free up to 30 games, then 4.99 € per month or 24.99 € per year for the unlimited collection, player rankings and statistics.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account?
- Yes, with an email address and a password only. That is what lets you find your collection again if you change phones. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app, in two taps.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Your collection, your players and your plays are copied onto your phone. You can browse and log a play with no network: it syncs on its own once you are back online, and never creates a duplicate.
- Do my friends need the app?
- No. Players are records you create yourself, with a first name and an avatar. Nobody else needs an account, and nothing is shared publicly.
- How much does it cost?
- The app is free up to 30 games, with the full play flow. Beyond that, Premium is 4,99 € per month or 24,99 € per year, with a 7-day free trial.
- Can I import my collection from another service?
- Yes, from MYLUDO. Export your library from the MYLUDO website, then pick the file in the app: names, player counts, durations and publishers come along, and duplicates are recognised. No password to hand over, and no limit on imports, even without a subscription.
- What about cooperative games?
- At the end of the play, choose “Team”: the whole table wins or loses together against the game. These plays do not count in the player rankings; they get their own team record in the stats.
- I made a mistake when logging a play, can I fix it?
- Yes. All your plays are in the history: tap a play to change the game, the date, the players or the result, or swipe it to delete it. Rankings and stats update on their own.
- How does the rules assistant work?
- On a game’s page, add its rulebook, as a PDF or photos of the pages. Then ask your question mid-game: the app answers by quoting the exact passage and its page, checked word for word against your rulebook. If the rulebook doesn’t settle it, the app says so and offers to turn your decision into a house rule. The assistant is part of Premium.
- Is there an Android version?
- No, MeepleThèque is available on iPhone only for the time being.
